Otra vez fue duro levantarse, así que los planes comenzaron de nuevo después de comer. La parada en el parking con el tepee había hecho efecto, así que cuando Peter me preguntó que quería hacer le comenté la idea de visitar una reserva india. Rápidamente Becky, Lois y Peter se animaron y me enseñaron a jugar al blackjack, porque a las reservas indias se va a jugar a los casinos que están prohibidos en el resto del estado.

Después de un buen trecho llegamos a la famosa reserva, que no tenía nada de especial salvo la presencia de casinos. Aque lugar me sorprendió mucho y me pareció bastante triste ver jugar a tanta gente delante de las máquinas con caras poco expresivas y más bien enganchadas. Aun así, después de experimentar con las tragaperras y ver que no hay nada que hacer, probamos el blackjack, con apuesta mínima de 5$ y salí bien parado( gané 15$). Ya casi tengo para sobrevivir el resto del mes :P

La noche continuó en Northfield, el pueblo donde está la universidad de Peter. Estuvimos escuchando a los estudiantes ensayar al coro, pues esta es la disciplina más famosa de la universidad. Luego estuvimos con Laura, una amiga de Peter que se dedica al arte y vimos como hacía esculturas. Después de unas cervezas por el centro del pueblo, nos fuimos a una fiesta típica americana a la que nos habían invitado en una casa...Otra ocasión perfecta para practicar español, puesto que la mayoría eran estudiantes de español...

It was hard to wake up again. After lunch we finally came up with some plans for the day. The stop at the parking with the tepee was still in my mind so when Peter asked me about which plans to do I told him I would like to visit theIndian reserve. Quickly we set up the plan and his family taught me how to play blackjack, because that is what is all about at a reserve. Casinos are not allowed in the state but there.

After some miles we reached the reserve and there was nothing special there but casinos. I had never been to a casino before and it was strange to be there. I didn't like to see so many people in front of the slot machines or playing cards with faces that didn't show any kind of excitement but just addition.

We first tried the slot machines, but after 3 bucks lost and no fun we moved on to the blackjack tables, where the minimum bet was 5bucks. I got my beginner's luck and left the table earning 15$ :) Almost enough to live for a month here :P

After the casino experience, Peter took me to visit Northfield, where his former college is located. We visited St Olaf and watched a choir rehearsal. They are very proud and very good at it.

We also met Laura, Peter's friend who is an artist and was carving some wood sculpture. After the exhibition we moved to the town centre and had a couple of beers on the only bar (I might be wrong).

We ended the night at a house party full of Spanish language students...another great chance to practice my Spanish :P
